I would like some projected costs on the "new camp" as well as some other general data:
An estimate on building materials 13 cabins the same size as Glenburn.
An estimate on the building materials for 120 beds (60 bunk beds)
An estimate on building materials for a new dining hall and kitchen
An estimate on building materials for washrooms similar to Glenburn's
An estimate on building a similar Ropes Course (Canadian builder - Challenges Unlimited based in Ontario)
An estimate on building materials for a staff/office building that is the size of the Rotary and Bung combined
An estimate on building materials for a boat house similar to Glenburn's
I have found some great info on fundraising initiatives for Ashburn Lake in recent years/months...good stuff that we will include.
Someone should come up with a list of Task Forces Members based on their affiliation - experience with Glenburn vs. Ashburn...any info we can get...kids who have attended camp...anything
We need the same info on Board Members...
I would like someone to check the land registry office in Saint John to track down any stipulations on the deed and transfer of ownership between Carpenter Centre and the Y. I want to know if there is any reason they can't sell it.
I would like to know if Ashburn lake has a Board Committee - similar to the one we had for Glenburn that has been disbanded.
Any answers to these questions should be commented on in the "comments" section of this blog or emailed directly to Joanne Sparks. If you are working on something, please let us know so different people don't waste time getting the same information.

Dayre -- I heard at one point that if they sell the Carpenter Centre they do not get to keep the money. I'm not sure if this is true or not.
One thought -- we should really put the onus on the Board to come up with the costs. It is their responsibility.
The previous comment is from Beetle.
I got a few connections from Dad (DNR) and others to tell us about geology, well drilling costs and challenges, plus a worst case scenario for the septic system.
Should have some $$ numbers for you in the next couple of days
