There is a preliminary report available to be viewed by interesting parties. We can, and should, repond fully and in an organized fashion. If you are interested in receiving a copy of this report, you can leave your email in the 'Comments" section.
If you are interested in making our voices heard, we need to be unified. The plan is to do this through communication with Joanne Sparks (joanne.sparkes@innovatia.net).
On a side note, I have found that the Carpenter Centre has had the advantage of having funraising opportunities with the proceeds going directly to the Camp, not being funnelled through the Y. It is mentioned on the Glenn Carpenter Centre website as the Glenn Carpenter Centre Classic and is described as:
I am writing today to request that you enter a team of 4 in the tournament with all proceeds going to the camp. The event promises great prizes and interesting twists to the game of golf.
Apparently you can also make donations directly to the Centre by contacting people through the website. So, there are ways to "show me the money" for Ashburn Lake that are not available to Glenburn and even have been actively thwarted by individuals and groups at the Saint John YM-YWCA.

Guys,
Can I have clarity on the conflict of interest on the part of Dale Knox?
It would be my understanding that he is a volunteer on this committee to assess the two properties, and the son in law of a man that donated 200 acres to the Y?
How can he personally stand to gain from moving the camps?
Require clarity.

I think that the conflict of interest would arise when you were deciding which camp to keep and you are the Chair of one camp and have nothing at all to do with the other camp. He is not on the committee to assess the two properties, he is a deciding voice on the board. He would have a clear bias as to which one would be the best to keep.
can i get a copy of the report...

thanks!
